Very difficult repair, and you might hurt yourself with the springloaded hinge shooting out of the antenna plate or when trying to pry the old battery from the case - stuck on with extremely tough adhesive. 8 out of 10 times outcome will be damaging something during repair and throwing your broken GPS, the tools, and anything else nearby out the closest window.Try using the plastic pry tool when prying the battery off slowly and gradually rather than separating your finger nail like I did.Make sure to remove any SD card that's inserted in the device. Will prevent being able to disassemble the GPS.Step 1 (short antenna plate screws) uses torx T-5 tool which they provide. But Step 2 (longer screws behind antenna plate) require a very rare, hard to find T-5.5. Luckily I had one from a red torx set I bought from Amazon a while back. Without the T5.5, you'll likely strip and have no chance to remove those screws. Also the tools they provide are very thin small screwdrivers which are worthless. Make sure you have your own tools/bit drivers with larger handles.I used my own iFixit bit set for the work.Since they don't provide a replacement adhesive for the battery, you'll need to provide your own doublesided adhesive tape, or you can carefully remove the adhesive tape from the old battery and reuse it.Lots of fiddly steps to deal with, multiple parts connected with cables to have to carefully handle, difficult small connectors to re-connect, and finally on re-assembly the top antenna plate cover is extremely difficult to get back in properly as it needs to be first be positioned with the circuit board round connector inside of it, and one corner (on the cable side) needs to be fit back into the groove without bending or breaking that corner.Any instructional videos you see don't show how fiddly and terrible the process is.No fun.
