There was a review for the older NP-FZ50 batteries so I wasn't sure this case would be good for the a9 NP-FZ100 batteries because these newer Sony batteries are bigger. But I am happy to report that this DSLR battery holders are the perfect size. At first, they come in the package very flat, and you think they are too small, but the pockets expand to fit the batteries perfectly. For your reference, the FZ100 batteries are 1.5" inches wide x 2" inches tall x 7/8" inch deep. As you can see in the picture below, width-wise and depth-wise they are the perfect width and slide in easily. Length wise, there is about 1/4" inch room left at the top, so they do not bury deep into the pockets and are quick and easy to remove, yet remain completely protected. Snug but not tight. Some reviewers complained about the slickness of the material, but it seems to wick off the water quicker. I bought the lighter colored ones (RealTree Snow) so I could see it easier in my camera bag. Again, there are other manufacturers who make less expensive battery holders, but I wanted something that wasn't too bulky, could hold the batteries side by side in its own pockets, and I wasn't forced to have a case that held four , when I only needed to bring two. I only carry around 4 batteries when I am using the camera grip, so the 2+2 (four total pockets) is perfect for that. But when I am street shooting and not using the grip, I only want to carry 2 batteries. So, this 2+2 configuration allows me to detach two of them and change the four battery holder into a two battery holder. I illustrated the snaps with the picture below.
